UK specialist audio visual and workplace solutions distributor, onemedia, has strengthened its growth ambitions with the appointment of two renowned industry leaders

Reinforcing its executive team, onemedia is delighted to announce former Midwich directors Iain Campbell and Lee Baker as the company’s new Managing Director and Commercial Director respectively.

In a move that reinforces onemedia’s commitment towards strong UK growth, the double swoop sees Campbell and Baker return to the forefront of the AV industry, following their hugely successful years leading a strong growth spell at the Midwich Group.

As the company’s new Managing Director, Campbell is relishing bringing his 30+ years of experience in Audio Visual management to onemedia, with a strong focus on developing the ‘huge potential’ of the business, saying: “Having carried out some consulting assignments with onemedia in 2023, I was delighted to be offered the opportunity to join the team.”

“My background and experience in distributing a range of AV technologies, including being a founder of True Colours Distribution Ltd in 1999, later acquired by Midwich in 2006, means I feel I have something unique to offer the team.  I am genuinely excited to re-join the AV industry and to work in a company similar to where it all started for me and with such a dynamic team.”

He adds: “onemedia has huge potential to grow within an AV market that has been diluted over decades. With this invigorated team, we are working together on several new opportunities to accelerate the growth of the existing business.  I’m confident that onemedia will make a significant impact within the AV industry, working with our ever-expanding team and our valued vendors.”

Alongside Campbell, Lee Baker is another who brings a vast wealth of experience of the AV channel to onemedia’s new management team. Former Commercial Director at Midwich, Baker is also focused on the growth potential of onemedia and driving the team to its next phase.

“I am very excited to be joining onemedia and am looking forward to working with the current team, suppliers and customers,” he said.

“I have been in the IT/AV market for 27 years and spent 17 years of this in distribution. There are a lot of opportunities in the AV market currently and I feel there is a need for a customer focused, specialist AV distributor. We have some exciting plans for the next phase of onemedia’s evolution, so it’s going to be a distributor to watch.”

Having led an exponential growth phase following the acquisition of Red Solutions and the subsequent merger with onemedia, Tyson Reed is leaving onemedia to pursue other interests outside the company.  Reed will continue to support the onemedia board as a consultant, with special focus on advising the creative and development teams on major projects.

At the same time, Rob Sheriff has resigned his role as a non-Executive Director, marking the end of an era, having founded Red Solutions in 2003.

Chris Wood, John Jeffreys and Will Hetherington will continue to drive the business forward and are joined on the board by Iain Campbell, as Managing Director and Lee Baker, as Commercial Director.

Chris Wood, Sales Director at onemedia, concludes: “We are immensely excited to welcome both Iain and Lee to our Board. They are a highly-respected duo that know the Audio Visual industry inside out and we are all keenly focused on the future and combining our vast pool of knowledge, experience and talent to realise onemedia’s growth ambitions.”
