Landsec and onemedia promote Park and Ride bus services working toward a greener city at Westgate Oxford
As an existing content partner to Landsec for many of the digital signage and interactive solutions across their estate, we were pleased to assist them in their joint venture with The Crown Estate. Westgate Oxford; a new retail and leisure destination.
In line with the environmental objectives of the new development onemedia worked together to implement a content strategy which included the promotion of public transportation to alleviate the traffic to the city centre. We did this by developing applications to show real-time bus and train departure boards together with content featuring the details of Oxford’s Park and Ride services.
It has been pleasing to see an 11% rise in bus usage since the opening of the Westgate development, along with 60% of visitors to the centre utilising the Park and Ride bus service.
